Our goal for serving breakfast each week is to build relationships with those we serve. This morning, I saw the faithfulness of the Lord on display in this area. Tony, a friend who we haven’t seen in months, joined us for pancakes. When I asked him how we could pray for him, he asked that we pray for him to be strengthened by the Lord. Then he asked me how my neighbor was doing. I had shared with him about her cancer diagnosis probably two years ago. It was so encouraging for him to ask about her and then that he was excited to hear that she is cancer free. Relationship is a two-way street of give and take. That’s exactly what Tony modeled this morning.
