This was a very difficult morning for Grace’s Kitchen as we served in the park the morning after violent tornados swept through our state. As we gathered to pray, we were reminded that only God almighty is capable of carrying our burdens.

There was an interesting phenomenon that occurred as all of us grieved. This morning our differences didn’t seem so vast. Our care and concern for our neighbors gave us a common bond and we all seemed to recognize that nothing else matters except for our relationship with God. Everything we work for and can be destroyed in an instant. Our lives are not our own.

We thank God for today and for the opportunity to serve Him through our precious friends in the park.
