We are so thankful that God held off the rain this morning as we served in the park. Despite the dreariness, many friends joined us—yet another reason to give thanks! The volunteer who led our devotion time shared these wonderful words from Psalm 32:7—“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” She reminded us that God is truly our hiding place and protector. All that is required is that we call on Him.

In anticipation of Easter Sunday, this volunteer also told our friends that because of Christ’s death, we have life. The power of that seemingly contradictory statement is overwhelming. God loved us—sinners sentenced to hell—so much that He sacrificed His beloved, perfect Son in order for us to become righteous. And this sacrifice was personal—Christ died for each of us as the result of our individual sins. The reason we serve in the park is because of this amazing love that we must share!

We continue to pray that those who aren’t believers will accept Christ as Savior, Lord, and Treasure of their lives. Also, many of those we serve are looking for employment and are discouraged with the search. Please pray that they will be able to find jobs. Thank you for your support of this ministry!
