Mornings like this are tough! Because it has been so cold this week, there has been a warming station in Boutwell Auditorium across from the park. The shelter closes at 7 a.m., so we had a huge numberof folks who ate with us today. At one point we only had enough muffins to serve 5 more people; however God worked a miracle and we were able to feed 15 more. Praise the Lord for His provision! We did leave early after we ran out of food, but everyone who came to our table received something to physically nourish them—whether it was an orange, a sandwich, or some hot coffee. In addition our volunteers were able to share a kind word, a handshake, or another small gesture of caring. It’s these things that matter—we want all who eat at Grace’s Kitchen to see Christ’s love through us. Many of those we served today were first-timers, and our prayer for them is the same as it is for our regulars—we pray that they will accept the grace Christ freely offers. Our verse today sums up what this gift truly means:Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!” 2 Corinthians 9:15

It is so neat to see our Father work and who He brings to the park each Thursday. Once again, God showed us that this is His ministry, not ours. May we continue to be empty vessels for Him to use. Thank you for your prayers!
