Gray mornings are sobering reminders of the challenges our friends in the park face, especially as we move between worlds of comfort and cold. We continue to trust God for His provision and thank Him for blessing us so that we can serve others. Praise God that the rain covering the radar this morning never materialized during our time in the park.

One of our team members spoke to a man who joined us for the first time today. She found out that the reason he came is that he had received a GK food bag that included an invitation to breakfast. How neat to see God work!

Another team member had a conversation with a woman who is praying that God will show us where GK the restaurant is to be located soon. She enjoys the food we serve and is looking forward to visiting with us in the restaurant—precious!

As we look back on this year, God’s faithfulness rings loud and clear. It was evident in the speed with which we received our 501(c)3 nonprofit status and through the monetary resources that have been given to us. The Lord has helped us deal with the adversity we faced as we sought to lease a building downtown. He has also shown us that He alone will order the steps of this ministry—it is His and we are simply the custodians. The verse shared during the devotion time is an appropriate filter for viewing the past and anticipating the future: “But he said, ‘What is impossible with man is possible with God.’ ” Luke 18:27

Thank you for your prayers for and support of Grace’s Kitchen. Soli Deo Gloria!
